I find your lack of faith disturbing..Part MXCVLM

I am an American and a Christian. Every once in a while South Park has Jesus (peace be upon him) appear in a totally religiously incorrect episode. But I have never thought about launching a Crusade against Comedy Central. So I ask muslims to "give it a rest" as far as their overreaction to the whole mohammed cartoon deal. I think Mohammed (peace be upon him) is probably too cool to bother with such stuff. Both gentlemen are way beyond wasting their imortality on getting pissed at being profaned. As a Christian I would not insult a fellow believer even though he or she may not recognize Jesus (peace be upon him) as the Christ. However our faith should be strong enough to insight us to be conduits of mercy to our brothers and sisters dispite the insults.

The west ought not to impose its standards of disrespect on others. If the west chooses to defecate on its own mother's head as an illustration of its freedom of expression, let it confine its squats to its own mother.
But insisting that this gives them the right to do unto others that which they laughingly do unto themselves is nothing but neo-colonialism at its best. That's the trouble isn't it. A clash between a culture that respects nothing but the right to spew on everything vs. one that respects even where there is no profit to be gained from such respect.

We all should refrain from insulting each other. The problem is that we are living in a world where more and more people are connected. So we have to be able to get along eventhough some people will not believe in the same things we do. In the west religion has been profaned not really by the non-religious but by clergy that uses God (exualted is He) as a tool for personal power. Too many westerners dump all religious leaders into the corupt boat. That does not make them right. But it does explain why they think the way they do.
